...Our Latest Check Up...

So today we went for the "big" check up! This is the one where they see how big the baby is & make sure everything is progressing for the upcoming delivery. As expected, Margaret is VERY healthy. She is about 6 lbs 11 oz presently. We still have around 4 weeks or so(give or take), and babies grow by about 6 oz a week at this stage. This means...yep...between 8 & 9 lbs by delivery time! A very healthy baby!! ha ha(that's my girl!) She is in the 80.9% size wise. This also moved her due date to March 10th (possibly). We started this adventure with her due date being March 19th...so she's a little ahead of schedule. The pictures below are not the greatest examples of how amazing Margaret looks. The ultrasound in motion gives you such a better picture of your baby...the stills just don't capture it. I love the one on the left...you see her little nose, lips, and chin!!! The one on the right looks like something as seen from Hubble Telescope!

Aww.. that's great. Keep in mind those are estimates though, and don't be too surprised if she's not as big as expected. We thought we were gonna have a large one and she was a little 7lb thing. Made me glad our dr went along w/ us and avoided the whole inducement talk (I was "overdue" lol).

Anyways, cute pic & hope the rest of your pregnancy goes great!

Hello Edinger Family...

Just popped in to see how momma and baby are doing and to see how much longer until the world meets Little Miss Margaret. I love reading your blogs. They are so uplifting and always bring a smile to my face. I am so excited for the two of you. Having a baby is the most incredible thing EVER!!! I will be keeping the three of you in prayer and can't wait to see pics of your sweet pea when she arrives. God bless you all!!!

As much as we want them to work on our magic schedules the truth is babies still come in their own time. We just had our 4d ultrasound. I think they are a bit creepy, but yours is actually cool. I am scheduled for the third c-section at this point, but we will see if she wants to wait that long...having many contractions all the time and she has dropped too. I should still have 2 1/2 weeks until surgery, pray no emergency one though...that can be more complicated. As for her weight right now, the day before Steven & Jakob were born the ultrasound estimate was both well over 6 pounds and Steven maybe over 7. Jakob was 4'12" and Steven 6'6" so just remember it is an estimate...just don't buy too many newborn diapers! Oh and there are such good dates the week she is due, PI day 3/14/09, Ides 3/15, and the 10th is my niece Lilia's 2nd birthday plus in there will be mine, sorry not sharing the actual date with anyone yet. I still think there should be surprises, and we still have to decide on a name....I know, I know. Hope you can sleep better then I can, enjoy the last few weeks of feeling her inside moving and rolling and hiccups and all.

We do understand that the weight they give is not always accurate. It's funny, almost all the comments on here & facebook(and there have been a ton of facebook) all say the same thing. Trust us when we say...we hope she isn't a 9lbs baby for Shana's sake!! :) ha ha It is good, however, to have a general idea of her size. Sometimes...the baby is actually bigger(as a teacher from my school has told me). It comes down to...every baby is different! They will grow as big as they need to grow...and come when they want to come! That makes it all a bit more exciting!!

It is fun to think that you know all of this stuff and then they throw you a curve either way though. WE think we know, and yet it is just a reminder of who is in charge of our lives even with all of the tech stuff we think gives us great answers. I have said more then once during this pregnancy that 4 kiddos in 5 years may not have been brilliant on my part but I really feel like God decided when, after all Steven & Jakob took 3 years multiple IVF attempts and this babe was a conversation on Sunday and reality in under a week. Enjoy your last days with the babe inside and with each other. After all you are busy making a miracle!
